Meet Nathan J. Edmonds

A seasoned legal professional, Nathan J. Edmonds graduated magna cum laude from Detroit College of Law in 1994. He built his career as a senior partner at Secrest Wardle, a well-regarded Detroit defense firm, before joining the plaintiff’s side at Ven Johnson Law.

He has tried over 50 cases to verdict and secured settlements exceeding $7.5 million, demonstrating deep courtroom experience and a commitment to client success.

Personal Life

Nathan and his wife, Nicole, reside in Waterford, near Sylvan Lake, and are members of the Oakland County Boat Club. He is a proud father to two adult children, Katherine and Joshua. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and golf.

Experience & Court Appointments

Mr. Edmonds has tried over 60 jury trials to verdict, with extensive experience working on both sides of the courtroom. His legal career includes:

  • In-House Counsel, Farmers Insurance

  • Prehearing Attorney, Michigan Court of Appeals

He currently serves as a Mediator for the Macomb County Circuit Court and St. Clair Circuit Court, and has been appointed Arbitrator in multiple civil matters by both plaintiff and defense attorneys.

In April 2025, he completed the 40-hour General Civil Mediation Training through the Oakland Mediation Center, and has received approval from the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) for inclusion on Michigan’s civil mediation roster.
